2006 was an important year. I developed a lot physically and emotionally and started going out regularly as Melissa.

In 2006 I began taking hormones. At first self-medicating, I eventually would find a doctor who prescribes and oversees my treatment.

I was fired in October of 2006, once again continuing a string of shaky employment. What I could not know at the time is I was being released from the trappings of a male existence. I began escorting towards the end of the year, but only briefly. It would be a glimpse of things to come.
