I began as a cross-dresser. My background as an artist helped me understand makeup. I view my face as a canvas. I learned a few things immediately:
Always know the look you seek before you begin.
Always choose a look that is compatible with your style and persona.
Always use the least makeup, go for the most natural look.
I practiced these rules from the start. I was guided by the feeling from within. My feminine instinct pointed the way.
In some ways I've changed a lot over the years. But to some extent I still have the same look, only more developed. I still wear the blue leotard top. There are some classic crossdresser faux pas. Like the cheap synthetic wigs, which were worn until I finally grew my hair. Note the breast forms occasionally visible. I was still learning to be comfortable for the camera.
